This Inspiring Conversations podcast was created by Baker McKenzie Venezuela’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee based on the global initiative to promote the values ​​that are part of our DNA, diversity and inclusion. Baker McKenzie is a global law firm with a presence in more than 80 countries, making us an institution with immense cultural richness. This podcast was created with the aim of having a fun and entertaining conversation with our staff, associates, attorneys, clients, friends and experts on this exciting topic and to meet and inspire women, men and non-binary people to share their stories tell stories and be role models for others.

Episode 5: Success as a woman: Elisa Vegas

For our fifth episode of the podcast and as part of our Success in Being a Woman miniseries, we had the pleasure of speaking with Elisa Vegas, conductor of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Orchestra in Venezuela. In this episode we talked about how she achieved her success and the factors that brought it, the obstacles she faced on her way to success and how she is a woman in the music world. Elisha shared with us some lessons and advice for women who listen to us.

Episode 4: The Success of Being a Woman: Sasha Mirpuri

As part of our Success in Being a Woman miniseries, we invited Sasha Mirpuri, Baker McKenzie’s Latin America Director of Communications. Episode 3: The Success of Being a Woman: Carolina Pardo

In celebration of Women’s Month, we’ve launched a mini-series on our podcast entitled “The Success of Being a Woman” in which we’ll be speaking to various successful women in hopes of inspiring all women who listen to us. In this third episode, we had the pleasure of speaking to Carolina Pardo, a partner at Baker McKenzie in the Bogotá office. Carolina is a very successful woman in the legal field and we are confident that her experiences, advice and comments will inspire everyone who listens. We had the opportunity to hear their perspective on success, the different prejudices that exist, gender equality in our company and their personal experiences. I hope you like it.

Episode 2: Inclusion in the workspace

Due to the alliance between Procter & Gamble and Baker McKenzie when it comes to diversity and inclusion, we decided to invite our friend Federico Guzman, Human Resources Manager at Procter & Gamble Venezuela. In this second episode, Federico spoke to us about his work experience and the challenges he has faced as part of the LGBT+ community. We are privileged to hear the story of one of our allies and colleagues. We hope this story can be an example for many and inspire others to support diversity and inclusion around the world.

Episode 1: Achieving a balance

In this first episode we had the pleasure of speaking to Marianella Medina, an amazing woman who started out as our client and is now a member of our Baker McKenzie team.
