The federal government allocates R$2.3 million in resources to Petrópolis


Transfer was approved after publication in the Federal Gazette; New resources are expected to be made available

After publication in the Official Union Diary (DOU) this Thursday 17th a total of R$ 2.3 million for the municipality Petropolis. The amount was made available to the city following the issuance of two ordinances of the Ministry of Regional Development by the National Secretary for Protection and Civil Protection, Alexandre Lucas. “In addition to the National Civil Protection, we have a strong presence in the Armed Forces. Army and Navy troops who arrived to help with the operation. For example, engineering and military teams are currently working on opening up roads,” the server explained. The resources were transferred after the National Secretariat for Civil Defense and Protection recognized the state of public disaster the site is experiencing. The first amount of R$1.67 million will be used to purchase baskets of basic groceries, cleaning supplies, mattresses, blankets and personal care kits. The remainder of R$655.7k will be paid for municipal cleaning and sewer clearing, as well as truck rentals, excavator rentals and general service provision in more than 10 areas of the city. The Ministry of Regional Development expects more resources to be made available to the region in the coming days.
