Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will return next season of “The Bachelorette,” with Michelle Young hosting.
The couple – who are currently hosting the 17th season of “The Bachelorette,” starring Katie Thurston – have both contracts for the 18th
Adams, 30) and Bristowe, 35) were named co-hosts for Thurston’s season after Chris Harrison left the franchise earlier this year.
Production on Young’s season recently started, and the co-hosts and other cast members and team have been quarantined on location for about a week, sources told Variety. Like Thurston, Young – a 28-year-old teacher – was a fan favorite from the final season of The Bachelor, starring Matt James.
Harrison got notoriously hot earlier this year for defending former “Bachelor” candidate Rachael Kirkconnell after she was slammed for attending an antebellum-themed college party and allegedly “liking” non-race social media posts .
Since then, the longtime host has completely left the “Bachelor” franchise and received a $ 9 million payout along the way.
Page Six reported in June that the series spin-off “Bachelor in Paradise” would include a revolving door with celebrity presenters, including David Spade, throughout the season.
The franchise first announced in March that Adams and Bristowe would co-host “The Bachelorette”. Adams replaced Clare Crawley as the lead actress in season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” while Bristowe starred in season 11.
“It was nice for us to bring the empowerment of women into the show,” said Bristowe at the time to “ET”. “… Just to be part of the change that is taking place in the franchise and in the move [it] in the right direction, I think we were both happy to step in and be part of it. “
Adams said former bachelorettes are the perfect people to endorse a current star.
“I think it’s so easy to get caught up in the drama of things, make up your own mind, and for us we could still hold her hand and get through it,” she said before Thurston’s season.
Young’s “The Bachelorette” season kicks off Tuesday, October 19 on ABC.
