Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum hosts special lunch for orphans in Dubai – Emirates Woman

Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum continually gives back to the Dubai community, especially those less fortunate.

Earlier this week, Her Highness hosted a special luncheon for orphans at Tashas Cafe in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent.

Sharing a series of photos on her official Instagram page, Sheikha Sana spoke to the children about their hopes and dreams for the future.

“It was my pleasure to host a luncheon for a special group of orphans [at] Tasha’s Cafe in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent,” she said. “It gives me so much pleasure to hear about their ambitions, hopes and dreams for the future in a country full of opportunities.”

Late last year, Sheikha Sana spent some time with determined students at Al Noor Training Center to celebrate the 50th UAE National Day.

Sheikha Sana heard from the students about their hopes, dreams and aspirations and explored their creative side in a finger painting lesson.

Her Highness also led a storytelling session on UAE native animals and witnessed the UAE flag being raised by one of the students as part of their National Day parade.

Speaking of her visit, she said: “The well-being of women and children holds a special place in my heart and this was a very special and inspiring visit for me – indeed, nothing is impossible!”

In our April 2021 cover shoot with Sheikha Sana, who she previously shared with Emirates woman her desire to work with education-related charities, with a focus on women and children.

“I was blessed to be born in the UAE, a safe haven for people from all backgrounds where women are respected and treated equally, but I know there are many who are not so blessed,” she said. “I hope to help change that by working with charities that support young children’s education and women’s empowerment.”
