Survey on NTCA trainers
BALTIMORE, Maryland (December 3, 2021) – The Morgan State bowling team ranked 16th in a December poll by the National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) announced today. It is the first national ranking this season for the Lady Bears.
The top 16 rankings are also the program’s first national rankings since April 12, 2010, when the team finished the 2009-10 season in 19th place on the NTCA national poll.
“What an exciting semester for our program, and today is the reward for the incredible work ethic and talent of our ladies,” said Morgan Sate head coach Thomas Falbo. “We’ll keep working to get better and see where our journey takes us.”
Morgan State (32-10, 6-2 MEAC) started the season with a surprising start to the third-placed Arkansas State at the season opener of the MOTIV Penguin Classic (10/15). In their second week the Lady Bears won the team title of the Virginia Union Invitational (30th-31st 31st) and had three victories over the weekend against the twelfth place of Sacred Heart.
The Lady Bears opened the game of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), then defeated the number 20 Maryland Eastern Shore and the number 19 Monmouth in consecutive competitions. Morgan State would go 6-2 and finish second in the league table.
Morgan State’s next appearance was the Coppin Invitational (11 / 20-21), which the Lady Bears would finish with a 9-1 mark to win the team championship, their second team title of the season.
The Lady Bears return to the Lanes on Sunday, January 16, 2022 when they host Saint Vincent College in a double game at the AMF Country Club Lanes in Baltimore.
