Jenna Slowey is moving to Irish Women’s Lacrosse – Notre Dame Fighting Irish – Official Athletics Website as assistant coach



NOTRE-DAME, Ind. – Jenna Slowey has joined the Notre Dame women’s lacrosse program as an assistant coach, Irish head coach Christine Halfpenny announced on Friday morning (July 2nd).

“I’m excited to announce Jenna Slowey as our offensive coordinator for the women’s lacrosse team of Notre Dame,” said Halfpenny. “Jenna brings great passion, intensity and enthusiasm for coaching to Our Lady’s University. She has helped guide her offenses to initial program settings while at the same time developing skills for her individual players. Her reputation precedes her and she is an excellent fit with the values ​​and goals of our university and program. We can’t wait to get started with Jenna! “

Slowey is coming to Notre Dame from Richmond, where she helped lead the Spiders to consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in 2018-19 and a top 10 national rankings in the CoVID-shortened 2020 campaign.

Slowey’s 2019 Richmond roster set a new program record with 17 wins and a second Atlantic 10 straight title, having made it to the NCAA for the first time since 2007 the previous season.

During Slowey’s time in Richmond, the program broke three single season records, including tie controls (298-2017), points (455-2019) and goals (314-2019).

Hailing from Moorestown, New Jersey, Slowey was a student athlete at Fairfield for four seasons and served as the team captain in 2014. She was in the All-MAAC Second Team and in the All-Tournament Team. Appointed in 2013. As a newcomer, Slowey was twice named MAAC Rookie of the Week.

As one of 10 players who have played 70 or more games during their career at Fairfield, she finished her career in 13th category.

She completed her Marketing at Fairfield in 2014 and earned a Masters in Nonprofit Studies in Richmond in 2020.
