Deja Kelly moderates the EmPOWERment Camp

Mark your calendars: UNC women’s basketball star Deja Kelly will be hosting an EmPOWERment Camp in Duncanville, Texas.

Deja Kelly understands that it’s more than just basketball.

In fact, the UNC women’s standout basketball player is focused on giving back to her community. To give back to her community that “helped her grow into the young woman she is today,” the current Tar Heel created the Deja Kelly Empowerment Camp and has her first camp event planned for this summer.

The first-ever Deja Kelly EmPOWERment Camp will be held on Sunday, August 14th at Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. Two sessions will be held, one for elementary school students and one for middle and high school students. Registration is free but limited!

As part of the camp, the women who enroll have the opportunity to learn some new skills that they can use on the basketball court. Additionally, the camp will have time for participants to learn more about life and business skills that could help them in their future.

For someone with experience as a sophomore athlete (especially with the new NIL rules), Kelly is a great role model for young women to follow. Her insights will be valuable to the participants of this camp as she will try to provide tips and advice that can help her campers in their future ventures.

If you know someone who might be interested in this camp, don’t hesitate to sign up! Registration begins June 1st and can be done through the official Deja Kelly Camp website. You can also find more information about their camps and much more at the link above.
