Clark County is hosting a public service careers fair with government partners on May 5th

Clark County is hosting a public sector job fair from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with local cities and several other government agencies Thursday May 5thin the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at 300 Convention Center Drive.

Job seekers interested in attending the event are encouraged to register online through the One-Stop Career Center at http://www.nvcareercenter.org/pscf/. Walk-ins are welcome, and parking is free. In addition to Clark County, participating agencies include the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas, Clark County Department of Aviation, Southern Nevada Health District, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Southern Nevada Regional Transportation Commission and the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services and the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.

“As our economy recovers from the pandemic, Clark County and many government agencies are actively recruiting for a variety of open positions,” said Jim Gibson, chair of the Clark County Commission. “Some areas of high need for the county include engineers, building inspectors, cybersecurity and information technology helpdesk staff, summer lifeguards and Safe Key staff. Anyone interested in a career in public service is encouraged to attend this event to learn more about the depth and breadth of opportunities.”

The job fair offers attendees the opportunity to meet in person with employees, ask questions and learn about the application and hiring process for a variety of government positions and the benefits of working in the public sector. Job seekers interested in working for Clark County can also learn about the Career Concierge service offered by our Human Resources department to guide people through the application process and to check their application status after the job posting is complete. New vacancies are posted every Tuesday at on the Clark County website https://clarkcountynv.gov/careers. Job seekers can also submit job interest cards online to receive emails about job categories of interest.
