CIAA Expands Partnership with Hudl; Soccer and volleyball are included in the subscription package

CHARLOTTE- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the nation’s oldest historically black sports conference, has expanded its relationship with HUDL, a leading provider of performance analytics, to further improve streaming solutions and production quality for its members.

As part of the CIAA Sports Network, the official streaming platform for the conference, starting this 2022-23 season, all regular-season football, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball competitions for the CIAA institutions will come under a subscription model effective immediately . Last season, the CIAA introduced a subscription model for both men’s and women’s basketball conference games.

This year, there will be a single award point for 2022-23, combining football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball. CIAA Sports Network will offer three pricing tiers: a $9.99 per single game rate, a $24.99 monthly subscription, and a $79.99 annual subscription.

Viewers can purchase a monthly or annual subscription to their desired institution, and this subscription includes access to all of that school’s live streams of soccer, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball within 30 days of the date of purchase or through August 31, 2023 (annually).

  • Upgrade to streaming resolution (from 720p HD to 1080p HD) via the CIAA Sports Network

  • Access the official video rating (instant replay) for attending the game in the sports of soccer and men’s and women’s basketball for membership under the Enhancements to the Hudl-CIAA Enhanced Agreement

  • All member schools will receive indoor and outdoor HUDL Focus cameras to improve streaming and video analytics for men’s and women’s basketball, soccer and volleyball

  • The CIAA will transition to a subscription-based model for regular-season competitions in soccer, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball

The Hudl partnership expansion follows agreements with platforms AspireTV, PRC Communications and HBCUGo.TV to provide CIAA fans and alums with more ways to watch CIAA football and basketball. Additionally, last October, the CIAA entered into a multi-year agreement with ESPN to broadcast the CIAA men’s and women’s basketball championship tournaments.
