The governor of the state of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed, has donated 60 vehicles to his campaign coordinators in the state’s twenty local governorates.
At the ceremony held at Government House, Governor Bala Bauchi said the gesture was to recognize the beneficiaries for their outstanding performance in taking office as governor in the last general election.
He described the coordinators as critical interest groups in grassroots politics and urged them to use the vehicles to campaign for support and votes for the PDP’s victory in the 2023 elections.
According to him, the move should allow the beneficiaries to take his campaign and that of the PDP to all corners of the state for the 2023 general election, as providing the vehicles would help the party’s success in the elections.
Governor Bala thanked the people of Bauchi State for giving him the opportunity to serve in this capacity and pledged to do more to provide more dividends for democracy in his second term.
The governor urged those who lost in the recent party primaries to accept it in good faith and support the winners to win so that the state’s PDP-led government can continue to build on its achievements in the fields of health, education, agriculture, youth and Empowering Women Can Sustain Others.
Earlier, state-run PDP leader Hamza Koshe Akuyam congratulated the beneficiaries and paid tribute to Governor Bala for his outstanding support of the party leadership at all levels.
